Il marque une limite entre la c\u00f4te des havres au sud et une c\u00f4te plus rocheuse au nord avec des dunes haut perch\u00e9es, dont non loin, les dunes d&#8217;Hattainville prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par le Conservatoire du littoral.<\/p><p>&#8212;<\/p><p>Cap de Carteret is a rocky promontory of Cambrian origin on the C\u00f4te des Isles, in the commune of Barneville-Carteret, on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula in the French d\u00e9partement of La Manche.<\/p><p>Located opposite the Channel Islands, it has always been a natural observation point, offering views of the islands of Sark and Jersey in fine weather and the south coast of the Cotentin peninsula as far as Cap du S\u00e9n\u00e9quet, 40 km to the south.
